An image I had forgotten to process while back. I also have some new shorebird stuff to process.

I like the twig going downwards, but it might bug others.

Lovely image and bird. If anything, I would like to see the leaves a bit greener.
    Just an idea.

I like the perch, subject, and BG. Excellent pose it offered you here! I find the image too light overall. I tried lowering the midtones in PS Levels, and liked the result at about 0.80. I wish the leaf above the tail was not there (PS I don't mind the downward twig at all), and as posted I would run another round of sharpening on the bird only.

Lovely pose and light, BG and perch.
I would only suggest a little more contrast though.
    Congratulaitons!

Nice with the crest up, wish the tail and the back leaves had some space between them. Agree it is a bit light overall.

Aidan, you really gor a lot of the little birds, this one is just as sweet as the others :)
And another vote for darkening a notch.

Thanks all for the comments. I tried increasing the contrast and darkening the mid-tones and I liked the result. Sometimes a couple extra pairs of eyes really help. I decided to leave the leaf in, just a personal preference.

I like his position between the leaves. Down ward twig is okay with me, sort of anchors the branch for me. Leaf behind the tail is okay too, just wish the tail wasn't in line with the edge. I like the overall color tone as well.

Perch looks good to me, and to see the subject looking down the perch, rather than the other way around, works for me. I agree a TLC with some contrast will make this pop even more.
