I just bought a Kiboko bag and really like it a lot! it does carry a lot of gear and is light weight. I particularly like the feature of fitting into the overhead compartments of airlines.

Got mine in January and have been hugely impressed with it. (Even managed to jog two miles down a small Welsh hillside in the winter with not too much discomfort.... not a recommended practice, :D, but needed to get somewhere fast and as am fit, no reason not too)...

Hi,
I watched the video and one thng concerns me about the bag. With zippers that go fro top to bottom, as you are walking, a zipper can work itself open and gear can fall out. I had this happen 15+ years ago on a bag I had where the zipper came open and the all my gear was exposed. Fortunately nothing fell out. The LowePro bags I have now have side straps that prevent the flap from full opening even if the zipper came open. I think the Kiboko bag needs two straps per side: 1 one the bottom, and one on the side.

There are two zips per zipper. This means that you could put them together at the bottom if that is what you preferred. You can secure them together for additional security. Additionally as there is not one big flap to open it is more secure. This does not mean that nothing could fall out if it were open, just more difficult.

I think it is a great bag although the butterfly design takes some getting used to.

I have never had a problem fitting this bag into a overhead compartment even on the smallest aircraft

Roger, we have sold a ton of bags, and we haven't heard of a single report of our zippers failing or unzipping on its own. We use IDEAL zippers, which are much better than YKK zippers. They own patents that make the zipper tape much more durable than YKK or any other brands, but you rarely hear about them. This is primarily due to cost, as their zippers are more pricey for me to purchase and put into our Kiboko bags. I think our gear is worth it!!

I have broken or damaged zippers on many items--I can back up what Andy says about the zippers on the Kiboko. They are first rate. I don't think I could break them if I tried :)
