Default Birding and Bird Photography Means Millions to Tampa Bay Area.

    http://www2.tbo.com/content/2009/sep...news-breaking/

Yvette C. Hammett,(the only environmental advocate at the Tampa Tribune) wrote this article about the economic impact birding and bird photography has on the Tampa Bay Area.

You'll notice that the folks in the photo are all BPN members.
I know who you are(Susan:)). Sound off if you notice yourself.

Congrats on the publicity and the link. If anyone wants a good laugh, read some of the comments on the article. Most smack of ignorance, stupidity, and hatefullness. You gotta love that none of them hang out on BPN....

We have plenty of hookers who can make the same claim. And they tend to buy their specialized equipment locally, too.
Any chance of organizing a photo trip to see these "rare" birds in action Artie? I would fly in from Melbourne for the exciting opportunity.:)

For those that did not know that the USA has Crocodiles as well as Aligators.

I found it very disheartening to read some of those comments but great work publicising Birding anywhere.

PS I would feel safer in chest waders.:)
