    Default American Golden-Plover

Photographed at Sandy Hook early in the morning. Thanks to Art for the correct ID, I was happy that it is not a black-bellied plover since I never got a chance to photograph a golden plover before. They are quite skittish and since I was lying on the beach this bird ignored me and walked right by.

This works very well. Great use of selective focus, nice background and sharpness where it counts.

Wowo Axel, I've nothing to say except that you really nailed this one! This is a particularly pleasing blue hue in the BG, that goes very well with all the golden colours.

I wish we would get the amount of waders that you get on the other side of the pond. Such a nice specimen and you did it justice alright. Lovely low angle, BG, light, Head and body angle and sharpness. I am undecided about the leg position, but that is surely minor. Well done!
