I photographed this at Ding Darling a few months back The data-f6.3, 1/250, 0 ev, ISO 400, 330mm. Oops, I missed some dust spots and now seems to need some noise reduction. It didn't look this bad before I sized for posting. Thanks for looking,
John
I really like the feather detail and color. Maybe a little more room on the left, The creases in the background are a little bit distracting for me and like you say some NR would help. A very nice photo.
Good observations and fully agree Strong image with a good crop and interesting lighting Most with mixed light do not work but this looks mighty fine Glad you found a bird at Ding !!!!!!!! ... that place has been hit and miss and not usually the hit part !!!
I really like this one. Very sharp, good contrast, and I don't mind tight crops. The noise is just noticible at this size, probably worse larger. It does have a gritty look like too much sharpening. But just barely. Maybe that's sharpened noise?
Techs covered, it is a different look, the NR has been mentioned and the sharpness too. That being said I like it, not as natural as some, but a clever designed picture that catches one's eye - what more can you ask for.
Sharp eye, great feather details. Somehow the transition in the background make this image interesting to me. Agree with Ben that noise might come from sharpening, maybe a selective sharpen would help and noise reduction too.
