    love the eye peeping through the wing and great detail and sharpness here. I also like the cool blue water, but wish for the bird to be a little lighter - easy to fix...

    The Osprey just grabbed for a fish and missed--------my best guess. I like any action packed photo with good techs and composition like this.

    BTW, thanks for commenting on my American Oystercatcher. I agree that my EOS 3 with the 100-400 IS x 1.4x cannot compete in sharpness with a camera body that is digital with a 1:1 censor from Canon or Nixon and probably more with a fixed length much pricier lens.

    I would like you to look at the sharpness of the Spotted Towhee posted here. It was done with that same 10 year old equipment.

    Nice action, and wing position. Tack sharp. The bird is a bit centered, and the color temperature a bit cool. You could try a warming filter, under photo filters in PS.

    Love the pose and the water droplets - I too think it could be a bit lighter for my tastes.
