Hi Keith, super comp and I feel you nailed the exposure with your flash set up. Overall, I like the colours, and good to see the slight hint of the tongue. Well captured.

    Keith:

Very nice, sharp, well exposed, great wing position, complimentary BG.

There appears to be just a bit of noise showing in the darker areas of the background, very slight.

If it were mine, I would consider lowering the luminosity of your flower in the LLC, since it is bright enough to draw the eye away from the hummer and looks a bit too much flash effect for my taste. I would only lower the brightness of the lowest clump and stem, and perhaps eliminate a few bright reflections on the flower.

It is very fine as is, I would be proud to have it, but might be an option to tweak it just a bit.

    Thanks for sharing.

    Keith:

This is what I had in mind. Pretty subtle changes perhaps, but it looks a bit more natural to me.

    Just my .02>

    Love your capture.

    Hi Randy:
I like the subtle changes you made. I think it improves the image.

    Thanks for the feedback.

Randy's changes did help an already fine image. I think the BG compliments the image , however it just looks a bit un-natural to me. Just my taste and I would be very happy to have one like this in my files.

Great composition, perfect wing position and a nice BG to compliment the colors of the HB
My only suggestion would have been on the placement of the flashes - appears to be excessive flash on lower half of image (flower in LLC (which Randy corrected) and golden yellow of HB flanks are more of an olive-green in natural light). In an ideal set-up, the flashes aren't noticable (see Grey Chin Hermit posted by Glenn Bartlett yesterday)
Overall still a keeper - thanks for sharing

Nice comp and pose, detail and colors, BG and sharpness, I would suggest to remove the flash catch light though.
    Congratulations!

Great image. Love the wings and yellow bracts of the flower.
