    One from last night.

I'm always on the hunt for interesting perches. I think this one matches this species quite well.

Hi Alan, your perch makes some interesting viewing, and I feel it is so intersting that in a positive way, it draws my eye away from your subject. The Gnatcatcher is sharp, and well exposed.

Great shot in beautiful light Alan. The perch may overpower the bird a bit however.

Great perch! May have been better if there was a bit more separation between the bird and the curly part but I think it also works fine as is.

Oh yeah, the bird looks great as well! :)

I agree the curly muscadine vine thing drew my eye first. Once I could look at the Gnatcatcher I liked the soft light image.
Really hate to get rid of the upper interesting curls but the foot perch has enough interest to me to carry the pic.
You always have great pics well thought out and captured.

I like the BG, bird, superb light and sharpness.
I must admit that the perch is not realy my taste, I also think its overpowewring the subject.
