Okay, here's my entry - the calla lily in shades of green, yellow and some other color I can't remember! (I knew I should have written it down at the time...)

Jules, I love the composition and the color tones. I'm wishing for a bit more in focus on the front end. But I still love it!!

    Hey Jules,
I like the angle but you know I always want more DOF (have to break that habit!) but as presented it has a nice softness. Did you try this in a sepia? I think that would also give it an interesting old photo look. The comp is super strong!

Very nicely done, Jules! The tones work beautifully with the flower. I agree about more focus on the very front of the petal. Lovely.

Julie, Love the color tones, gives the image a great feel. Very nice comp with the curving lines of the flower. Focus has already been mentioned.

Julie, I like this, very elegant. I also would like to see more dof as composed, but it sure works this way too.

Yeah, I wanted that soft look but I do regret not stopping down a little more for the top part of the petal. Oh well...live and learn.

Sorry about the data...I was in a hurry this morning! It was with my Canon 40D, 100mm f/2.8 macro, f8.0 at 1/30th, and handheld (that's why the petal looks soft I'm sure...)

Love the composition and color, Jules. Add me to the "more focus" list. Have a question about the black in the LL corner. I'm nor sure how I feel about it. It almost looks like there is some green in there. Is there? If so, can it be pulled out? Just curious.

Ed, I hadn't even noticed that it looks so black on the uploaded version - I'm pretty sure it showed as a strong green on the original I worked on. I'll double check and see if it needs to be lightened up! Good eyes!!!

I wanted to pick this one as the winner, but, Jules encouraged me to choose someone who could actually win, as she is excluded due to being a moderator.
