This guy was about to land but saw me standing in its way with a camera.

    D700 70-300@100 hand-held. ISO 1250 f5.6 1/2000s.

Cropped. It looks over-exposed - with blown highlights I know - but somehow I like it.

    What say you ?

    Thank you !

    Hi Desmond,
I like the capture angle and diagonal landing pose with the raised wings...you have good color rendition with fine details in the whites, and the high-key makes it for me...I would suggest on cropping 1/4 from the left side of the frame, and adding more canvas to the right...aside from this, well done Sir...looking forward to more...

Hi Desmond. I love the high key look. Slide this bird a little to the left and you have a gorgeous wall hanger!! Congrats!

It is nice the way it is....just my thoughts but I don't feel that a limited amount of blown whites are going to cause me to toss a photo into the bin. I have printed some(many) with blown spots and the average person that looks at them will never notice them.

Nice detail and texture in whites, Great raised wing position too with fanned tail, I like it as presented - cool high-key image.

I love it! Thought I'd experiment with a sketchy rendition. In addition to Gus's suggestion for cropping, I rotated the bird CW a little.
