Default A Walk Into the Depths of the Earth

This photo was taken in Hawaii Volcanoes National Park of the Thurston Lava Tube, which is open to the public to explore. It is the remnant of the tube the carried the lava from the volcanoe to the sea. It is about 10-12 feet in diameter and an interesting walk.

This is another view, using Poster Edge, Twirl and Glass filters.

Thought of saving it for Holloween, but decided to let it out now. It is lit only by the lamps, which are spaced along the wall.

    Enjoy!

Mark, It does have a cave feel to it and as an abstract I love it! I might need a bit of focus in there somewhere to rest my eyes. Very well seen and creative!

Interesting abstract, Mark. It does have a ghost-like quality to it.

;) :D Thanks Denise. That was the intent. The original was handheld with no light, except for those you see on the wall, so it didn't have focus. But I was having some fun and decided to see what would happen. Not a prize winner but interesting ... Like I said, might have saved it for Holloween night to spook the board... :D

Thanks Dave, that's my wife going ahead of me. As noted above, I didn't intend for it to be identifiable. Just kind of floating through the image.

Thanks Cindy and all. Appreciate your viewing and comments.

Whoa! Very dark and scary looking, but intriguing. I wonder what is just ahead. Should I go further to investigate or not?

    Would be great for Halloween!
