    Default Black-Tailed Deer Fawn

I had to use a very low JPG quality setting (e.g. 45%) to fit this image within the 200 kB limit. Presumably because of the complex environment and lots of detail in the image. Hope it still works. Thanks, JR

PS: Any suggestions on how to deal with such a situation in PP is much appreciated.

Very nice habitat image John. I do see some loss of details due to high compression. Especially on subjects head. Probably posting a smaller resolution image with less compression might help.

John, I like the setting and cropping. The deer appears soft in focus as I see foliage that is sharp.

Lovely setting John, although as mentioned, the grasses are sharp, but the deer appears soft.

Cute subject. I like how he's coming out of the cattails. The deer doesn't look overly soft to my eyes. I might run some NR on the image and selectively mask it off the deer to give it the appearance of being a little sharper.

Thanks for the feedback. Is the foliage in front or the back of the deer sharp? I could see it either way. Which is confusing as I tend to agree that the (head of) deer is somewhat soft. JR

Very lovely image and excellent detail, eye contact and pose. Love seeing the environment in this capture.
