    Dave:

Perfect timing. Great wing position, can't ask for more full up than that. Good job on exposure, with nice balance, dark & light.

From a comp. standpoint, I might consider less space on the right, and some more below, unless it is just too messy down there.

    Nice capture!

perfect timing, light and exposure Dave! taken in the Kgalagadi?? we're going on Saturday...can't wait.
crop works fine for me as is. I wonder if it's worth cleaning up some of the branches?

Great show of the upturned wings on the moment of take off. Good control with the exposure, especially on the blacks, and overall, nice and sharp. Is the image before the shot you posted a few days ago, with him looking back?

You couldn't ask for better timing, exposure, or sharpness. The quality of light is excellent. I agree with Randy's suggestions about the crop.

Perfect timing Dave! Bird is pin sharp with great detail & colours. Crop works for me as is since the posture does not suggest a steep dive. Excellent image Mr B!

You were right when you told me about this one. Excellent Dave. Comp wise I might also go with Randy.

Dave, Love this one. I'm fine with the comp, Exposure and details are great. This has to be one of the coolest looking Raptors around. I'd get rid of the lower dark branches and the upper two that are hanging down. Congrats on a superb image.

Thanks for the comments, they are appreciated.
Randy this is a very minor crop with a bit taken off the bottom and canvas added above the wings.
I always try and keep to the 2/3 frame ratio but agree that a bit off the right could work.
Stu this is the first image in the sequence.
Morkel yes this was taken in the Kgalagadi.
