    Default Red-tailed

Red-tailed just woke up from his afternoon nap and decided to take a walk :D

Wing position could be better I guess.

    Hi Arash,
A fine capture indeed...I like the head angle and sharp eye contact. I like the raised wing position showing it's fine details and the baby blue sky compliments your subject quite well...my only suggestion is to increase the contrast and saturation just a little bit to make the bird's colors pop out, aside from this, you did very well...good show...

Hi Arash .. glad you went for a walk Very nice !!

You did have a good compensation for the bird .... but did you have to use any shadow/highlight or lighten the underside of the wing? Just looks a little funny, increasing contrast as Gus suggests will help out !!!

Good one Arash! You are shooting with my exact BIF setup and did a great job with it. The red-tailed hawk is also one of my favorite birds and I like this wing position. Does seem to be a slight blue cast that you can see best on the tip of the far wing. I did a quick color balance pass. What do you think?

Hi Arash, this is a very nice capture of the red-tailed hawk - the HA, exposure, color balance, and sharpness all look good to me. The nearly complete sharpness from wing-tip to wing-tip makes me wonder if you cropped this one very much. Nice job, I like it!!

    Thanks guys,
Al, did use the highlight-shadow but not much, there was a cyan/purple cast in the neutral feathers under the wing, so I selectively selected the neutral areas and did some desat.
Thanks Kerry I see your repost has more natural colors :)
Ron, the crop is almost 60% od the frame. I got some better ones, will post later!
