    Alan:

Excellent job here, sharpness, exposure, composition.
My only wish would be that the needles didn't overlap the abdomen.

    Really nice.

    Cheers

Alan this is as nice as nice could be!! The BG and the surrounding greenery just makes this for me.

Not much to add here. Just great. I might only suggest to crop a little on top but that would be it. Congrats.

Fabulous of course Alan! As a personal preference of mine, I would crop a little off the left side, so that the branches don't exit the frame in the corners:). Great image!!!

Outstanding in all respects. I happen to like the needles touching the abdomen. Gives it a realistic life like feel.

What a beautiful specimen! Great job with comp, pose, detail, setting and background. I agree that a tad off the left would improve the image, but this is a nit.

Wonderful detail in the reds, the blacks and I like the hint of the eye...not overpowering but you can see it. I don't think the crop matters...you're automatcially drawn to this well exposed beauty. Congratulations on a fine capture.

Pretty neat all round Alan. Beautiful details and the soft lighting is showing this off well. Agree crop doesn't matter and like as presented. Congrats.

What makes it for me is the bird's expression and overall sharpnes, what I would like to see is a little more space on top and bottom and also more color saturation.
    Great Image !

Wow, a sweet image, even for you! Love the great details in the reds, and blacks, the BG, and of course, the great redwood perch. Water Drip?
