Triple Canopy

I went the other night with Gus C. and Oscar Z. to photograph the downtown skyline. One of the cruise ship terminals was lit up purple and the graphic caught my eye. This image was photographed with my Canon 5D Mk II on tripod, ISO 200, f/11.0, 15 secs, Aperture Priority, Evaluative Metering, Auto Exposure, Manual WB, No Flash. Image cropped. Comments Welcome

Great capture Richard. Surprise that you had the vision to capture this considering the plague of mosquitoes eating us alive. BTW, bought some repellant today just is case.

Hi Richard, I really like the flow lines of the canopies, the colors, composition and control of color (whew, lots of C's there!). When you say manual WB, was it handled in camera, and what WB did you use?

Nice shot, colors against dark night air are great. 15 sec seems a long time, but results are fantastic. well done.

Like Ron, I assume the W/B was as-is, nice ISO selection.

Surprised you did not HDR this image. I am downloading Photomatrix today, wish me luck.

I set the WB to cloudy to bring out the color.... I originally did shoot this image 3 times for an HDR, but it was a little breezy and with the long exposure I got some ghosting. So I just went with the original 0.0 EV image.
