I'm not a great fan of high-key images, but I liked the stretched wings and the pose, hence sharing this image.

I think high-key works very well here. The striking colors of the bird leap off the screen against the white BG. I might adjust the black point in levels to make the blacks a little darker.

I like the high key application here, agree with Doug about the black point.

From a composition standpoint, my preference would be for more space on the right and left, and less below.

Yes, it is a bit more square, but I think it compliments the pose of the bird.

    Thanks for sharing.

Perhaps a crop something like this? I did reset the black point per Doug, which gives the image a bit more bite. It may be oversaturated a bit now. I don't know the bird to accurately judge that. A hint of blue for the sky is also showing up now, which you may or may not like.

I'm not familiar with this species but the more contrasty repost looks good to me. I also like the pose a lot.

The posture reminds me of someone about to be attacked from a horror movie - I like it. Lovely colours, and certainly stands out against the white BG. Well captured.

I must agree that the high key works very well here. The repost by Randy takes this one over the top.
