Well, it's the time of year when the cardinals get territorial and start attacking their reflection in my van's side rear-view mirror. So I placed a branch near the mirror for it to perch on to, and here the bird is ready to make another advance toward the intruder. He was pretty angry by the way his tail was flickering a mile a minute- hence, the motion blurred tail! T aken in shade in early afternoon. Hope you like it- let me know what you think!

An interesting pose you've captured here Shawn, and showing excellent detail. The complimentry red and green tones give added impact. My only nit is the fairly tight framing, but then your intention may have been to make a close-up portrait study of this beautiful bird.

    Hi Shawn,
I like the inquisitive pose you captured as well as the detail in the bird's back. Nice comp as well.

I like the pose and details. It looks a bit dark on my monitor and it is a bit tight in the frame for my taste. I wish there were more separation between head and branch.
