    SB 900, manual 1/32, FP mode

    PP in LR2, cropped 1600X 1200, sharpened, camera vivid
    flower in left lower corner tone down

    I don't know why there is no reaction to this image. It definely has the bird captured nicely and flower lovers will prefer the BG of more yellow even though it takes a bit more looking so as not to be distracted. This distraction thing is only for an impatient view in most cases anyway. Looks like a female Broad-tailed to me but the rufous under the wings is started to fade as the fall and lose of mating plumage are upon us.

    You captured the hummer in a decent pose. Nice wing position. The yellows are overpowering in this image. I would tone them down considerably. The bird also appears to be oversharpened.

    Always a treat to see hummers doing their thing, looks like a juvenile. I agree that the BG competes with the subject and that the bird is oversharpened. There are some jaggies around the bill.
