    Default Theme: Diamond Dewdrops

This is the result of my playing around with one of my dewdrop photos trying to come up with a good theme image. I love how dewdrops look like jewels when the sun is shining on them. I added lens flares to the dewdrops to enhance their shine and applied a guassian blur overlay to soften the image. I did both a color and B&W version. Let me know which you prefer. Any comments and suggestions would be most appreciated!

    Here's the B&W version.

Hi Christopher, I like your simple but effective composition. I like the B&W version better due to the way the light plays on the drops. They seem better defined to me. If this were mine I would clean up the backround due to some of it being distracting. Good eye!

Christopher, I also like the B&W version but feel the green tones in the first post are appealing also. I agree w/ BG clean-up. Nicely seen.

Christopher, I would agree with Denise on the green one over the B&W image. However, I also personally would like to have something in focus. The blur doesn't do it for me. I would try some other filters and see if there is a better solution.

I like the shot and the vision you indicate, but the blur cancels the jewel like image that you indicate you wish to show, in my view. However,

    Your image ... Your vision.

Thanks Dave, Denise, and Mark for the comments and suggestions. Mark, personally I like the soft, dreamy look of the blur, but I do agree with you that I may have overdone it a little. Thanks for the input!
