Working through a few more Katmai images.....this is a continuation of the post when the mother gave this fish to the "runt"....minus the head of course that the older/larger sibling had bit off. He's looking over his shoulder to see if his brother was approaching or even another dominant male as he was pretty far from moms protection.

    Roman,

I do like the pose, but...

This has a similar look as previous images posted. Perhaps, it is the 100-400, especially, with converter, causing a lack of detail rendered in the original file? The sharpening appears odd.

    Hey Chas,
Must be something I did in PP'ing as the focus point box shows on the nose in BB.

    Roman,
Lovely pose. The fish in the mouth without its head tells a story. I think it would have been better without the 1.4x.

    Cheers,

Roman, Nice eye contact and action captured. I like the raised paw. The colors on the salmon really add interest to the image.

    Hey Roman,
Love the color of the fish. The pose with the head angle and visible claw is nice as is the look of the bear. Overall, the bear seems to be a bit too light in comparison to the surroundings.

Really like the eye contact and the red in the salmon. Like the water coming off the paw.

Roman, I like the crop as is as it shows up close and personal action. On my monitor the detail is good. Steve's comment about the lightness of the bear is correct.
