    Default Groundhog feeding on berries.

Yes, I would have liked a better head angle (and I tried!), but I like the "thickness" of the neck/shoulders this pose portrays. CDan you tell this guy is stocking up the fat reserves before hibernation!! I also love the two hands in action - one holding the food, and the other helping keep balance. Hope you like this offering of the humble Groundhog:)

    Hey Daniel,
Agree with the self assesment on the HA.....but I have always been fine with profiles. VG detail in the coat and I like the simple branch with the colors and berries leading us to the groundhog. The silver fur on the top has nice seperation from the BG and almost looks backlit! Nicely done!

    Daniel,
I am sure a slight head turn would have been good. However, this is a nice composition. The lower angle makes it intimate. Thanks for sharing.

    Cheers,

HA not so bothersome Daniel, as the low angle, details and double handed approach more than make up. Nice one.

Wonderful details and low angle. I do not mind the head position.

Despite the HA, this is so good in every other way. I'm sure you have other shots, for instance, maybe one showing more of the foot holding the berries.

Great sharpness throughout. Visible eye and grasping hand make up for the head angle in my opinion.

The details in this image are excellent and the exposure perfect. The eye contact is fine for me as this image is telling a story. Superb Daniel !!!

Hi Dan, I really like this. Great exposure, detail and sharpness, and love the colourful plant. I would try and add a little more space below. Still, well captured.
