From Jamaica Bay last pm. I read on the bird forums that they did indeed all leave after we photographed them, in the full moon on a light sw wind.

Very cool, I like the angle, light, droplet on the bill and serene mood. I would only sharpen the bird a tad more.

Lovely cool and warm tones. Agree on sharpening up the bird (especially head and eye) a little.

Agree with above comments. Image looks like it needs some CW rotation to me.

I also see a need for a bit of CW rotation, but a beautiful shot nevertheless.

I agree with sharpening the face, and for a bit of CW rotation. Lovely deep reds from the very late light!!

Agree with he above comments. I might also try cropping a small slice from the bottom.

Not sure if its just some visual trickery, but the image still looks like a CW would help straighten it out IMO.

Love the repost, the sharpened bird is perfect against all those colors and the incredible background...

The sharpening is so perfect that it's very natural looking as opposed to how it can get that over sharpened look...

    Just awesome...

I think this would make a great 40x10 image. LOve the light.

Great image Grace. I like your composition and the lighting is fabulous. The bg colors kind of kick butt too.

For me, the strength of this fantastic image is its simplicity. I would take that a little further and crop a substantial portion from top and bottom, leaving a pano format. Stunning!

Drop on the bill is the icing on the cake.

I like the light and low pov.
Repost is better. The bird still lacks a little sharpness that could make this image "pop".
