You were fortunate to see a fall out....way cool. The wing position that you've captured here is perfect, but the head being out of focus is hard to recover from. Have any more??

I agree with Grace on the out of focus head, but the wing spread is brilliant. I wish the bg was not so cluttered.

Nice subject, and exposure, but it has a few problems. The subject looks over-flashed, and the HA could be better. Also the motion blur on the head, and cluttered BG are image killers.

Aidan, how can it be a good exposure and be overflashed at the same time ? It is a Flash photograph, since flash was the main source of light !

Magnolia Warbler---Yes? Go to Brightness/Contrast and lower the Brightness by 10 to 20 %; then raise the contract by 5 to8 % and watch the sharpness and color both increase.

The pose looks cool, I wish the head were in focus and angled more towards you.

Fernando, sorry it took so long to respond. I meant that it seemed over-flashed to me, because the sort of "flashed look" on the bird and foliage, while the background is dark. It would have looked a bit more natural if there had been a flash on the background as well. The exposure looked good to me with no overexposure, but it had the telltale flash look to me. However this is a nice natural history image, and you couldn't have done a whole lot better given the low lighting.
