    Yellow Warbler

    Upper Texas Coast

    D3, 850MM, ISO 640, f8, 1/250, +0.3 EV.

I'm spending a little time this fall shooting migrating songbirds.
This female came in to my drip pond with a grub yesterday.

I like the bow like shape of the perch, sharpness and snack.
The upper right side of the BG is too bright on my monitor, the two broken twig do not contribute in my eyes.

Great feedback Gal. Here's a repost with your suggestions.

repost is better and deals with what I would have contributed, but great shot to begin with!

Re-post is much better. Surprised to see such a thick perch from you. I do wish for a slightly smaller perch, though because it does not obscure the bird, it doesn't bug me unduly.

Loved the RP, great image Alan, loved the BG, makes the bird pop out well, loved the HA and details on the bird and the catch sure adds greatly to this beautiful frame.. congrats..

Repost is much better. Bird is nice and sharp and the pose is nice. It is a bit tight in the frame for my preference but that is just me and the photo is really lovely.

    Hi Alan

Try lowering the brightness by 7 to 14 %; then increase the contract by 3 to 8% and see a different image. I hope you like it.

Love the pose that you caught here!

In a perfect world, would prefer to see the whole perch in focus.
Might just be me but I feel like I'm seeing just a touch of a green cast?

The exposure is spot on. Love the bowed pose with the food and the perch is wonderful.

Another great looking warbler. Great job on this one, the catch makes it for me.
