While this species most densely populates at dry regions with woodland or wooded grassland at northern South Africa,
its range includes Botswana, northern and central Namibia, and western Zimbabwe. Populations may be found as far north as Ethiopia.

Your bird is sharp, well exposed, nice eye, the feather is a huge plus.
The HA is a bit away from us, but that is less bothersome because the feather is so striking.
I tried bringing the highlight slider in to 246, which perked up the whites and the eye a bit, might look at that. You have to be the final judge, since you know the bird.
Thanks for sharing

Love the feather of course but with the light from our left the poor head angle really hurts this image as it left the bird's face in shade.

Dave, he must have been hot, as he brought his own fan to cool himself down. Nice touch with the feather, and it stands out excellently against the BG. HA covered, but I feel the head is also a tad soft. No one else has mentioned it, so I could be wrong.
I think he is signaling with that feather. Great image which can be Photoshoped to perfection with CS2 or better under Image-Adjust menu go find Highlight/Shadows and slide them around to you make this perfection.
Thanks to all for looking and for comments. I did not expect this response.
Randy thanks again for your effort, i do think that the Highlight slider is an improvement but I think the shadow lightning is just a bit overdone.
Axel I do have one with a better HA but the feather is not as great. I will post it.
Tony yes and the nest looks like a storm has blown through it.
