Made this image last Summer. I know the feet are not visible, but with about 3 -4 inch growth even if I had moved a bit up it wouldnt havedhelped.
Spec: 1/1600, F 8, ISO 400

Superb light, COMP, choice of perspective, SH, and the perfect look-back head angle combine to make this a top-notch image. Not to mention a regal subject.

Think Artie has covered the points well Kiran. :). Pretty cool all round. Congrats.
Nice one Kiran. Artie pretty much sumed it up.
Light, sharpness, angle and eye contact are very good. I would tone down the beak a bit and might have gone to ISO 200.
Fine image, Kiran. As to the feet in the grass, sometimes an image works better when our imagination comes into play as well and we are able to see what isn't there. Will be in India at the end of October for a month of photography and hope to see and photograph this bird.
killer pose,angle,colors,light,bg.....congrats!!!
Hi Kiran, I really like the angle and pose in this. Amazing detail and colours, and with the DOF created, The non visible feet do not bother me. Congrats on a fine image.
feet no problem Kiran! lovely light, pose and 3D feel - multi-tone BG works well too. well done!
Excellent pose and a super angle, colours and BG. Great image

A most striking image.
Beautiful bird in a great setting. Love the background with the colors that blend with, then enhance the bird
Thank you dearest bird lovers for your kind words of encouragement, I really appreciate it and value them.
Thanks Axel, I stuck to ISO 400 as the light kept changing because of the moving clouds.
Thanks again,
Kiran.

Awesome Kiran, great work as usual.

A very nice shot Kiran. The headangle, light, BG, bird and detail are great. I can understand your perdiciment regarding the growth, still I would have liked to have seen this from a slightly higher angle just to see a bit more of the leg and tail. Otherwise excellent
Love the image and the thread is worth playing with to see the diffference. About the beak toned down---I think the saturation by yellow after selecting the beak, after first featheing about 20 to 40% under the select menu, can be done by your sharp eyes.

A fantastic shot of one of the most endangered raptors in the world. Wonderful light, color and compostion.

Ditto Artie. Very pleasing image Kiran. Nothing one can do about the lost feet and tail in the grass.
