I think a tighter crop would better - just the bird and the water droplets. The large rock in the BG is distracting. Good try, always nice to see an action photo
Just wished the OOF rock was not there.. loved the effect acheived.. congrats..
Aren't we all different? Like as presented. (Only wish to see larger, :)). The head movement and water drops are sublime.
Yes to a much larger version. There is a much stronger crop here if the orig is sharp and could stand it.... I do not know how the image quality of the reposted JPEG will be here but I wanted you to see my preferred COMP and crop.

Regarding age - male juvenile (1st year)? But might be wrong - just learning.
YAW. The bird is in frresh juvenal plumage and looks too bulky to be a female (Reeve). So good job.
