    This bird is heard but rarely seen the Rain Crow real name is a Yellow-Billed Cuckoo.



    Found in a swampy area near the Tennessee River

    20D, 500/4, ISO 400, f8, Exp +1/3, Mode Av

    PP crop from Lanscape ~60%, Curves, USM after Resizing

    Hi GAry,

    Very nice looking bird and clean background. Well exposed too. Your light angle is off a bit and wish he would have turned a bit more towards you.

    Like the shot a lot. The comp and the colors are very nice and the details are good.

    If you Quick mask the branch and tone down the burning highlights it would improve the image a lot. While you are at it you could tone down the birds back and head too.

    Lovely details on the bird.
    The non-green background near the bottom of the frame is quite a distraction but i guess u cud'nt hav don much about it...

    Great find and details. I agree that the darker part of the BG is a bit distracting and also wish for more head turn.
