This Jumping Spider is only about 1/3 inch long. I had fun playing with this little gal(?) as I was photographing. If I wiggled a finger, it would turn and look up at me with those (relatively) enormous eyes. If I wiggled too much, it would pop out-of-sight under the leaf for a minute or so before coming back out again. 40D, Canon 180mm macro + 1.4X, 1/100, f/16, ISO 400, tripod, mirror lock, cable release, natural light. Comments are welcome.

Excellent image, Steve! Perfect DOF and really nice exposure. I get the feeling the light might have been a bit harsh but you seem to have done an excellent job of keeping it in check.

Only thought on this would be that you could probably take another sliver off the bottom but no biggie...I even love the flaw on the edge of the leaf. Perfect!

Nice composition -- the edge of the leaf seems to lead my eye back to the spider's face, which is extremely sharp. Nice background as well.

Very nice composition: simple yet, very effective. Top lighting works very well here. TFS.
