    Default HDR Lotus

I started a new HDR class with Fabiola last night and wanted to post a really pumped up HDR image. This lotus was photographed last week at Fairchild Tropical Gardens with my Canon 50D. It was processed twice thru Photomatix with Nik Color Efex filters of Pro Contrast and Midnight. Obviously I wasn't looking for a photo realistic look. ISO 640, f/4.6, EF70-200mm f/2.8L IS USM, 200mm (320mm), Aperture Priority, Evaluative Metering, Auto Exposure, Manual Focus, Manual WB, No Flash. Comments Welcome....

Nice work, I like how the flower still looks real and everything else is funky. Great job:)

... Richard ... you did achieve the non photo realistic look and more :D:D

Excellent choice of filters and like the effect ... it always takes a strong base image and you got it !!! :)

    Nicely done Mr. Waas,
I like the extra punch, I like the composition and capture angle, the depth of field and focus point is dead on...good show...

Very vivid and very details, the only thing that bother me is the red/orange highlight around the purple lotus.

Hi Richard - Wild Colours - high Visual Impact - just leaps off the page.

I would remove the coloured fringing from around the lotus - might just give it that bit more seperation from the rest.

    Love it!!!
