    This image is from my recent trip to Bandipur Tiger Reserve in India.

    Canon EOS 1D Mark II, Canon EF 400mm f2.8 L IS USM, ISO 400, f4, 1/400, full frame image. Handheld.

    Your image shows the bird in its habitat well, good shooting angle and angle of bird. I might hit the eye with one more round of USM.

    I have mixed feelings about the large stalk in the foreground. Might consider cropping in from the left to eliminate that, and add more to the right if you have it, or going to a vertical. I also might consider toning down the luminosity of the bright band in the background.

    It depends on the story you want to tell, as always.

    I like the walking pose, eye contact and angle. I would put the bird further to the left in the frame and increase the color temperature a few degrees.
