This is the most basic of blurs ... point the camera at the birds and don't move it. With just about every other you pan with the subject. The difficulty here is finding birds moving in mass for the effect !! btw for most of these slow shutter speed images is best to use a neutral density filter to avoid small stops needed. Got a couple of choices, use a .9 ND filter (3 stops) or get the SingRay 9 stop Variable !!! .... Didn't use it for this one.

    Comments welcome and much appreciated

Really love the wing and the water blur, adds to the commotion feeling of the image. Bautiful image.

The overall motion, color and feel make it a winner. It took me a few minutes to appreciate the balance and flow with the water and wings. Sweet picture, one that demands the viewer to look for relationships.

Looks like a PP (Pelican Party). I find my eye is going all over the frame and it is nicely balanced. Good job with framing Al. Ordered the Singh Ray variable filter. Looking forward to trying it.

Alfred, a neat image! The blur conveys exactly what the scene must have looked like:)
