Hi all, still on the road, right now I am in Arica, VERY north of Chile, heading to the Chungara Lake, here's a nice Hummer species that I haven't seen before :) Hope you like it and again, forgive me for my lack of participation, I will be able to comment again in about a week once I get back home :)
    C&C are welcome and apreciated!

    Enjoy!

What a beautiful image you have here. Sharp with great details, and a fantastic perch. Even though the head is slightly turn away but I do not mind at all. Good behavior captured.

Nicely done as above. This one might have been way better had you taken two big steps back so as to include that whole flower on the bottom left and more of the one that the bird is drinking from. Is this the female?

    Hi Ramon,
Nice background. I agree that a wider framing would have been good. Look forward to more.

Nicely done. I agree with what Artie said. Very difficult to get these guys stationary like this.

    Ramon,

Beautiful colors in this. Love the DOF. The head angle isn't perfect but eye contact is good. Agree with Artie to include more in the image. Top marks!

Ramon, Beautiful light and colors. I love the pose!! Agree w. Artie regarding the entire flower on left and a bit more of the other. Very nice details. And one of the most interesting Hummingbird images I've seen.

Hi, Ramon. I agree with the others here that not having more of the flower, particularly the one from which the hummingbird is sipping nectar, is problematic for this image. Of course having more of the lower flowers would be nice too, as Arthur mentioned. Everything else looks great in this image. If this is cropped from the full-frame I'd be really interested to see what whole image looks like.

    Cheers,

Been all said Ramon, and can only echo Greg in hoping not full frame to see if there is more. As presented though, delightful and very much to enjoy.

Just to add what the others mentioned; I hope this is the beginning of a series. Lovely colors, perch, BG and bird. Looking forward to have you back posting regularly.

Thank you all very much for the kind words and suggestion, "sadly" this one is preey much a full frame, so there's not really much I can do about the framing, that pose last for no more than 3 seconds, so I am happy to have a small bunch of images of this feeding behavior.
    Again, thanks!

Hola Ramon; this is a beautiful shot made at a terrible spot for photography. This place is full of hummingbird going back and forward between feeding and resting. I know how difficult is to compose in this place and that's why I think this a great shoot. Great details, fantastic perch and pose...un abrazo
