Wow, the hopper looks tack sharp with fine details. What a fantastic bokeh !!!
Also liked that lone flower amongst the buds.
I feel that it is perhaps a bit too tight on the left side - might provide some room.

    Hey Roger,
I don't mind the tight comp.....as I normally go for that.....super BG too! Nicely done!

I would agree about the excellent sharpness of the grasshopper and the clean background, Roger. Here's another vote for a little more room on the left. I would also wish for more DOF on the yellow flower and the front of the plant stem. :)

Roger, Very nice! I like the sharpness of the GH but with a slightly higher fstop the flower would have been a bit sharper. I vote for a sliver off the top and more room on the left...

Beautifully done! The one thing I think would have added more strength compositionally would be to have taken one more step to the hopper's right so he would be more parallel to the focal plane. Still...this is right up there on the scale. Nice work!

Thanks to all for your helpful comments. I've reposted the image with a bit less canvas at the top and a bit more on the left.

Hey Roger, nice details the hopper looks like it's made of metal. Good BG and the repost looks good.
