One of the best close ups I have seen recently, loved those eyes, fur details and use of DOF here

Superb close up Robert. Love the way the attention travels up the snout and is held by those eyes.

    Robert,

Way cool tight in your face portrait. I would only prefer it without the leg behind the face, but we both know how that goes ;)

    Best,

    Chas

I like composition and the eye contact. It seems light was pretty low. Thanks for sharing.

I really like the rich, reddish brown color of this. Great detail as well.

Intense image Robert! Hard to stay put behind the camera with that starring back at you from so close.

Outstanding!! With the bear look right at you ----he does not look very friendly. Risking life and limb for this photo was worth it!!

Good job with the focus on the eyes Robert. In a perfect world, the full range of DOF would have been great, but I see on your settings, you didnt have enough light to stop down. Still, great detail throughout, and the comp works well.

A bit too red for my taste...but what a powerful photograph. Very good framing here. I love those really tight frames. Excellent! I do agree with Chas about the leg...but nothing you could have done about that.
