    Only bird I had any luck with this AM. I think there was a hawk or falcon in the area and that kept things quiet.
    Not much light either as the morning was very cloudy.

    1000 ISO F5.6 at 1/1000th

    Joe, Love the perch and BG. You did great on the exposure but would have liked a little more DOF to bring in the tail a little more but I understand might not of been possible with the light conditions. Congrats

    Nice light, BG, and HA. I would have sacrificed some SS for some more DOF here. Image looks as if it has a green cast. Was this a set-up?

    Geez that BG is Green !! More DOF for me too, you have the Shutter and the ISO ;)

    I like the pose, and you have captured some good detail. I like the fossilised perch.Another vote for wishing for more DOF.

    Beautiful light and the green BG is very nice. I like the pose and perch. Agree w/ advice already given

    Really like the background and detail around the birds head and body, dont mind that tail getting OOF because the background is killer...
