Leaked Canon 7D press release
The following link has allegedly a google translation of a leaked chinese Canon 7D press release. Be warned it's painful to read (e.g. “can not be auto-focus lenses when driving,”).

If it is true that it is 18MP on a 1.6x crop sensor then it sounds like good news for noise reduction software developers. :)

There is a Swedish camera/photography magazine which claims to have been invited to a Canon press event on Sep 1 in Stockholm. Of course, could be spam too...

It will be interesting to see what is really announced tomorrow. If the rumor is anywhere near true Canon claims o have developed some sensor engineering that will reduce the noise that the 50D has a reputation for. Since many state that the 50D noise is controllable if you expose correctly the newer camera (if true) should be great.
Tomorrow will tell.
