    Looks like you got nice and close, Ray. The image looks very dark on my screen. I say that with a bit of trepidation since I have been known to post a dark image or two as a result of the tilt on my laptop screen. In any event, it is a little tough for me to see the details.

    I'm not sure where the light came from, it looks almost B/W on my monitor. Could you say how you postprocessed this image?

    From camera to Mac & pse 4.0 it was an overcast day, and went with the light I had.

    Cute bird but way, way dark and dingy and the bird may need to be sharpened. It is likely that the RAW was well underexposed. Always add light on cloudy days.

    You already have great critiques. I can only add to photograph early or late in the afternoon to avoid strong contrast. Kepp them coming!
