Super pose and moment captured Judy. looks like it needs a contrast boost. Thanks for sharing.

    a wonderful capture Judy..

agree with Mr Fletcher about contrast , would also suggest a CW rotation on the BG....

many thanks Peter and David for taking the time to comment. It is most appreciated. Peter I did consider a CW rotation but as I looked at the yellow flower fields in the BG they were straight and although the ground looks to be a little off if I did the CW rotation it would put the flower fields off so that is why I left it as taken but I certainly see why you suggested it as I too thought the same. Thanks.

    Judy,

Love the pose and timing! Agrre with others...post-processing appears a bit off on this one.

    Happens to us all ;)

    Best,

It has been a while since I visited Katmai. Your recent images have brought back fond memories and have made me envious. I love the moment you captured. The bear is sharp with good eye contact. I also think your composition pleasing and agree with you and would leave the orientation as is. Thanks for sharing.

Love the pose, Judy and agree that more contrast in the bear would likely be an improvement. - maybe the whole image could be a bit darker. :)

Love the pose of the bear and the colors of the background really add to the image.

    Hi Judy

contrast has been mentioned, and to me it could still use a tad more sharpening. love the pose, stare and light!

Great pose. All you needed was a little dust cloud/flying rocks behind him.

The pose is priceless...and I certainly would give it another try with the postprocessing as this would certainly be worth it. Looking at the fur of the bear, there seems to be quite a yellowcast in this photograph. If you would remove that, add some more contrast and sharpness you'd certainly have a winner in my book.
