    Not mad about the crop, but great colours and details, nice eye contact and HA too, would also advice to clone out the distraction at the bottom right.. still liked it.. congrats..

    Hi Jeni, every time I go there, all I see are a million starlings. I like the angled pose, and being so close, its always difficult for everything to fall in your DOF. Having said that, Im glad the beak is sharp.

    I lket the tight crop and eye contact. I would also clean the sky at the lower right.

    Thanks for advice much appreciated. Have reposted with bottom right cleaned up.
    Stu- there were the million starlings :D about 30 hornbills and a troop of monkeys that stole our eggs!!:(

    Jeni, very nice portrait. I think you received some good advice as evidenced by the rpost. I'm with Kiran that the squarish crop seems awkward. I'd be interested to see the full-frame.
