Captured this little warrior in my back yard. He was watching the sky, checking for intruders. When another HB would approach the feeder, he would chase them off and then return to this perch, which is a little lemon tree. Converted in LR2, tweaked in CS4.

Hi Kerry - Love the pose and the clear sharp eye - Background is good and composition works for me.
Might just tone down the perch a little.
I am not on a Colour corrected monitor at present - so will leave that for others to comment on.

Looking forward to seeing more of these guys :)

    Hi Kerry,
This is a sweet image...I like the diagonal placement of your little guy in frame...the color rendition is spot on, with fine, sharp feather details. The head angle is good and the eye is sharp...agree with Mr. Peters on toning down the leaves just a tad...looking forward to your next one...

Cute Hummingbird, I think this is a nice picture, I like the leave i would just tone down the branch he is sitting on, everything else is good. Great job:)

    Hi Kerry

Excellent capture Agree with suggestions and would lighten just a bit an increase contrast for more pop !!!

I like the color palette here, and agree with Al about getting a bit more 'pop' but keeping colors subtle at the same time.

Great pose, Kerry, I feel the temperature of the image is too cool, maybe try a little warmer?

Took all the good suggestions and rolled them into this version. Warmed up, toned down foliage, brought up the levels, and added contrast. Thanks! :)
