    Denise:

The composition works for me, agree about the nice water color. Good detail in whites, sharpness and HA.

Just enough catchlight to give the eye some life.

Even though I don't like what mute swans can do to the environment, there is no denying they are beautiful birds.

    Cheers

    Randy

Hi Denise: You did a great job exposing the whites and the blacks here...tons of detail. I love the HA and the BG too. Altogether, a keeper. Marina

Hi Denise, excellent exposure and detail from the whites, and love the pose. The head really pops so well from the BG. I see a pinkish colour on the head. Just wondering if thats the natural colour. Still, well captured.

Thanks everyone for taking the time to comment. I appreciate it.

Stuart, This was shot before sunset and the sky was starting to produce some nice pink tones- I will look at the file when I get home and adjust it.Thankyou, I didn't realize there was so much pink till I just got on my laptop.

I like the eye contact and BG and would sharpen the bird more. Maybe some lightening of the eye?

Thanks Axel for looking in. I think the eye is light enough-but I will give it another round of sharpening.
