    Hi Kyle,
I would crop some more as there seems to be too much negative space. The shell is a beautiful colour of blue and contrasts nicely with the pebbles. It might be my monitor but I might tone down the highlights a bit. Did you use flash on this?

    Hi Kyle,
I like the image and capture, you have sharp details and good contrast. I recommend desaturating the sand and the blue shell, just a tad less, not too much, and cropping 1/4 from the bottom and from the right side of the frame, also would add 1/4 canvas on top. This will eliminate some of the negative space, and place the shell more toward the lower left corner of the frame...looking forward to your next one...

I do like how the blue shell is in contrast with the sand, really making it stands out. Agree with Gus composition advice. Did you take this at an angle, the sand at the top appear to be out of focus. Nice wallpaper image.

I hate to be the contrarian here :)
Well used negative space can be a very positive thing to an image, you just need to place the subject in the right place.
I added canvas on top and took a sliver off the bottom to place off center and closer to the corner, for a strong composition, and added a bit of Nik Glamour Glow. I liked the blue in the original and kept it.
    Here's my take on it.
