Photographed this pika on Trail Ridge Road in Rocky Mountain National Park this morning. Tried to get one with a clean background with none of the highly reflective rocks. Quick little guys! Thanks for looking.

An accomplishment to get one standing still. Nice subtlely mottled BG and excellent detail on this little guy.

Oh, he's absolutely adorable. Congrats on getting such a clean shot of a Pika -- not an easy task. The detail, light, and perch are all superb. I might try toning down the rock just a bit so it doesn't compete with this little gut so much.

I'd say you were very successful in getting your clean background, Dan. :) A great pose - I like how all the whiskers stand out against the background and the slightly raised foot is a plus. I would only wish for a little more sharpness in the fur of its midsection. Other than that minor point, this is an excellent image.

    Hey Dan,
I know all too well that these guys aren't the easiest to get. Very nice job of isolating one with a clean BG!
