    This was taken near Santee, Ca. where this male and his mate were busy building a nest this spring. Comments and critiques are most welcome.

    I like the light, pose, eye contact, BG and interesting perch, too. I still have to find this species in the field, thanks for sharing. I could also see this as a wider crop but like it as is.

    Sweet, sweet, sweet. Love the basic COMP, the look-back HA, the sumac, and the BKGR. You might want to see how it looks brightened a bit overall.

    A bit off the bottom to just past the horizontal leaf in the middle would tighten it up a bit.

    I like this very much. The pose is great, your composition works very well. The Sumac created a very interesting perch. Nicely done.

    Excellent details, good exposure, sharp eyes, beautiful background, nice perch with lovely colors. An excellent image, thanks for sharing this.

    The repost is even sweeter. The crop from the bottom is perfect and greatly strengthens the image.
