I like the angle, head angle and eye contact in this one. I would tone down the whites and yellows and sharpen the bird more. The bright spots in the BG are a bit distracting but I guess there was not much you could have done about it. Keep them coming!
Hi Mark, This is a lovely bird with a good head angle. After that it is severely downhill. Over-exposed. Mega-contrasty. Oversaturated yellows. Uneven BKGR with bright splotches. And the extra piece of the perch is very distracting. You need to get out early with your lens, learn about light angle and the qualities of light, and make some great images.
Ooops. I forgot to mention that the bird is not at all sharp.
