    I am hoping to get out and shoot some of the returning shorebirds next weekend. For now, here is one from last Spring. The light was just starting to get harsh.

    50D, 100-400 at 360
    1/1250, f/6.3, ISO 250

    I like the striding pose, wavelet and BG and might only sharpen the bird a tad more and would try to lighten the eye.

    I really like the color of the water against the bird and the walking pose. Those legs look very stoudt. Good luck on heading out next weekend.

    Hi Aidan, super comp, and like the relaxed walking pose. A milli second later, you would have had the foot out the water. Stands out nicely against the sea BG. Well captured.
