Sweet light, wing position, and exposure control. I wish the bird was flying towards you, instead of away.

    Well done!

Very nice capture Chris. love the eye contact and the wing position. Too bad that light angle didn´t allow to capture the full speculum iridescences. Very good job

Nice flyby image. I like the eye contact, BG and sharpness and only wish we could see a bit more of the far wing.

Cracking shot Chris. Details are cool and the flight pose top stuff. Feel you have a sharper image than as shown and took the liberty to see. Only did a bg selection, nr on that and inverted, then new layer via copy and smart sharpen at 100%v1.0, then reduced opacity to 50% (felt it didn't need luminosity sharpening at all). . Flattened. You have it sir!

I like the semi banking posture, good show of the nearer wing, and overall, well exposed.

I like the feather details on the wings and body. Pity he was flying a bit away from you.
Good capture these guys are quick and he looks close to you.
    Ditto the speculum iridescences.
