    Laura:

Nicely captured, well timed. Nice display of primaries. Nice sharpness.

I wish there was a little more space below, since that is the direction he is heading.

You might try pulling in the highlight slider a bit from the right end in levels and curves, as the brightest white is around 238. I tried it, and it does add just a bit to the whites, without losing the early morning feel.

I might also try a bit of shadow protection to bring up the soft shadows a bit more.

    Thanks for sharing.

Nice light, pose, and exposure. I agree on it needing more space on the bottom. I also wish for a bit better wing position.

I would lose the border, it's distracting, and not adding anything to the image.

    Looking Forward to more!

It works really good, perhaps additional room at the bottom would improve the composition. Superb background and sweet morning light. Great egrets are really shy in Spain and I can´t picture to myself photographing one of them at 202mm focal lenght :D

I think its a wonderful shot, especially with the background you have. I kind of like the border too, but I know some people don't. I think that is a preference thing.

Lovely image, well exposed, sharp with good light.
I wish for a wider crop especially from the bottom.

Thanks everyone. I wish I had a little more space at the bottom, but this is how I took it. I was actually glad that I got its feet in the frame... : ) There's no cropping at the bottom or the sides. I slightly cropped the top just enough to fit a 7x5.
Aidan, I agree the border doesn't look well on the light blue background of the forum. I thought it looked less distracting on flickr as it's white on white with just a thin black border (http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2657/...03fe1876_o.jpg).

Thank you all for the good advise!

Excellent exposure, sharp, and like the landing posture. I agree a little added to the bottom will work.
